The plug in the computer is broken if that's like your fifth cord.

THE CABLE IS BROKEN INSIDE. IF YOU CUT THE CABLE AND PUT THE PARTS TOGETHER WORKS AGAIN. I JUST DID IT BUT NOT SURE IF IT WILL LAST LONG.

What I'm doing right now is I opened it and saw silver wires. It's broken. I cut open some more and tried to attach them together and it's working but I don't know what I'm doing is safe. It's best if you ask someone who knows how to seal it afterward. Also make sure it's not plug into your wall.

FYI: you might check this repair video out, as it explains what probably happened to your power adapter plug. It probably melted and has come loose, and needs to be repaired. (Mine was throwing a lot of heat and most likely melted the plastic that holds it in place, maybe melted other stuff too).

what the hell!!?? i have the same exact problem!!
similar thing happened to my extensa4620z . I'm actually getting sparks at where the cord plugs in. Sometimes it will boot & sometimes not-fortunately got it to boot up long enough to cc the files i need. Think the power supply on this doesn't last, but GL finding some1 to replace just that & not want to do the whole motherboard.
U might be able to run just on battery, and find another way to keep it recharged. just make sure you backup your files now b4 u don't have any power at all.

@christiv3 (sorry for the late reply, someone spammed this for some reason) the EXACT thing happened to cord 2 except it would be by the rubber before the plug. i think its the cheap replacements using bad materials because my computer is 3 years old and ive bought many replacement parts for it (in fact the hinge just broke today), and all the replacements that i bought have lasted less than half the amount of time of the original product

This happened to my sister's laptop, I think it is that the hole is too big for it...

@JPU364 its not the hole, its the rubber near the plug, this has happened to 4 different cords and one managed to burn all the way through the rubber.
