A poem from Anis' performance of 'For those who can ride in an airplane for the first time' at the 2005 Slam Nationals. He had almost lost his voice in these but, he still won. Check out his new collection of poems on Write Bloody called The Feather Room.

  • funny thing I've noticed, there's only one poem here, not two like the description says, but this poem is indeed amazing. I prefer this version to the one he performed on Def Poetry

  • Noted I've changed the description. Anis had to edit his poems for time when he did Def Poetry Jam, I like this version better as well.

  • fuck i can't handle how good he is

  • if you deem the quality of a poem on a single word and its usage, you clearly are looking for the wrong things.

  • @jslobo3 for those who can ride an airplane for the first time

  • @zackthal Pretentious means you use words you don't know the meaning of...which I think you just did...his voice is shot because he is so dedicated to his poetry...think about the meaning behind the poetry...think abstractly and with passion...
