And the word Orthodox means the Straight Path, not those who confess all 7 councils
-----
True, though technically to be truly Orthodox you should be following the guidance of the Holy Fathers, and the Councils. Every segment of Orthodoxy thinks they are the most Orthodox, however only the Antiochians can claim this with much validity, given ""where the followers of Christ were first called "Christians" (Acts 11:26)"", even then its not really important, following Christ is the point ;)

hopefuly the coptic church gains more converts. I rather this spread throught out africa than the sham of a faith called pentecostalism

Be reassured however, that many on your side are recognizing that the differences we have been professing are simply those of phraseology, as our Patriarch does, and many are recognizing the injustice that has been caused by historical members of your Church to ours, that lead to the severing of the ties with you. We are now working towards full communion, and hopefully I will be able to witness it in my lifetime.

When Christ walked on water, it wasn't the result of just His being God, or just His being man. For walking is something that physical men do, but walking on water is something God does. ONE ACT in which both natures are united under one essential being. This is an example St. Severus gave, who was heavily persecuted by the Eastern Orthodox.

The One Person the Lord Jesus Christ, has His Manhood and Divinity united with eachother inseperably. Monophisites, will tell you that the Divinity of the Lord "swallowed" up His humanity, and became one Nature. That is NOT what the Oriental Orthodox profess, they believe in two natures fully united (and they really stress that composite unity with the word mia) in the One Person of Christ Jesus. We are completely opposed to the idea that Christ is made of dual natures, with dual wills.

I am tired of people accusing Copts of being monophysites. They are not. This comes from an ignorance of the Greek language. In the Greek language, the word 'one' can be translated differently due to the nuances of Greek. One can either mean mono or mia. Mono simply means one Nature. Mia means that it is a composite being, or personhood.
i think you guys are missing the point here with this debate over the orthodox-ness of the Copts. the point of this video is to show that we have brothers and sisters in Christ, in the far reaches of the world, and to get a visual / musical taste of that.
