What I had been hoping is that the universal health care plan the president was trying to sell to the people of the US was the one envisioned in Canada - a health care system that does not entail a chequebook with each visit to a doctor, unless you have a good health care plan.
The Canadian system has been tarred by greed and lies and mismanagement.
Just like the mis-information that has been dished out to challenge the president - there's more paid bloggers than you know--
not a trap. just FACTS and REALITY... they put themselves in this situation. Like kids that was caught in the cookie jar.. you catch them with their hands in it, they pull out quickly and think you didn't see that when you are standing right there.. then they tell you in your face, "I was just trying to find my toy car"
When your talking points and strategy come from the "diverse" well-rounded group of teaheads, Palin, and no-clue pastor beck.. you end up ill prepared for the REAL world.
Making Republicans look bad? Making Republicans look narrow? You can't make them "look bad" or "look open minded" because that is what they are. Now, you can do what FOX "News" does at attempt to cover this up, promulgate talking points, and not do real commentating, but to make Republicans look bad is not the fault of the Democrats. They look bad due to their obstructionist behaviors and narrow minded ideologies.
This is all of the republicans making. They whined about not being involved, when they had every opportunity to participate. Now when a personal invitation comes from the President republicans seem to be balking again. This time hopefully America will see the party of NO as they really are. Idealess.
If by trap it's meant putting them on the record waving fewer than three dozen pages of vague, glib talking points as the better idea(s) on healthcare reform.
It's possible Republicans COULD show up with fully developed legislative proposals instead, and present them point-by-point... but then Obama could say, "Why have you been keeping these to yourself? This is what everybody has been asking you for since last July."
I love how Fox News acts like what Rush Limbaugh says holds so much credence, and taking it seriously, as if it's legitimate analysis.

WOW-what a bunch of crybabies and chickens. They are rightfully afraid that they will be shown to have no interest in governing.
