  • The reason John had to tax was to pay the ransom of his homosexual brother Richard the Lionheart, Christendom's chief officer for religious genocide who took a wrong turn home from Jerusalem and ended up a prisoner in a castle near Vienna, as you do. I assume you have heard of the phrase "a king's ransom"? They don't come cheap. But for some reason historians hate John and think the light shines out of Richard's arse despite the fact he was only in England for six months in his whole life.
