I agree with you that this is the best version of this song ( the same goes for her version of When You Walk In The Room ). Both songs send a chill through you just to listen to it. Her vocals are spot on and the emotion shines through as well. And thanks for your channel. It helps in bringing to light a vastly underrated artist of the 60s.

She's so lighthearted here, unaware she's doing one of the best rock 'n roll songs of all time. What a sexy raspy voice!

@SingDude understood,I'm just very careful with " history revisionists" ( I'm not saying your one),who often want to rewrite it to reflect what they " wish" it had been. I like jackie's version of 'when you walk in the room', dont care much for her "needles and pins" however. when I think of songs I think of how I first heard them and by who.it was the "searchers" in both cases.

@TheBabyboomkidof53 We can disagree about whose versions are better, no problem with me. Both of Jackie's singles charted, and Needles and Pins even went to #1 in Canada! To me, she's the original and still the best :)

@SingDude simple facts are the searchers had hits with both songs while jackies versions went nowhere.maybe it was due to the fact the british invasion was in full swing and could do no wrong.but whatever it was those are the facts.

The Hard Times did a nice version of "I Can Make it With You" which Jackie also recorded.
-
@TheBabyboomkidof53 Gotta disagree. I find Jackie's versions superior on both songs.

once agian "the searchers,"out did jackie with their version of this song same as they did on "when you walk in the room". she is a great writer and performer I love watching however.easy on the eyes too!

Its a great song and a great performance

@Lockemeister Sonny Bono and Jack Nitzsche wrote the song, but lately it's been said that Jackie also contributed a bit.
