How deep would you say the patch still is?

@camvr1 Hard to say. There are no rocks sticking through and it is convex in that you can't see the bottom from the top. At the lower melting edge it's probably about 2 feet thick so in the middle it could be considerable.It will be Interesting to see if it lasts till September
