Read the report on the City of Perth Website and I am very happy that they're continuing this great event next year. Hope to see 300000-400000 people with more fireworks to make the event exciting.

this was quite exceptional, I didn't realize so much work went into this. I've never been to a sky show before in Perth, I've always been put off by the issue with Parking and where to go?>

Best show ever. So proud and thankful to everyone involved.
But I will say I'm very disappointed in reading the news of Ms Scaffidi's thoughts on not continuing the show due to poor attendance. Smack bang in the middle of a heatwave and thunder storms? Well no wonder!! I wouldn't have wanted to bring kids down either.
This show takes some of the sting out of paying our taxes to you - so don't even debate taking it away from us.
Where's the entire National Anthem that was played just before the start of the Skyworks.

@VictorYong36 Unfortunately the anthem was not included in the Channel 7 telecast...

Awesome display with the lightning adding an extra sparkle. I think the Tennis kept the fans home watching the classic Federer and Nadal match. Next year, why not have laser lights fired from buildings not involved in shooting the fireworks and fireworks fired from the Narrows Bridge. What are your ideas?

@VictorYong36 Great ideas! In the 2007-2009 skyworks there were lasers involved in the shows. Not sure why it was abandoned. The City of Perth need to do new things to convince more people to go down to the foreshore. Although the fact that it was 42 degrees doesn't help..

@unenslaved2012 Which projects were you referring to? I honestly think with projects like the Perth Waterfront and City Link, Perth is changing for the better. All the renders for these projects are just that. Renders. The finished product will look completely different.
