Cognitive scientist Steven Pinker talkes about how there is no mind seperate from the brain operation.

Steven Arthur Pinker is a Canadian-American experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, linguist and author of popular science writings. He is a Harvard College Professor and Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University and is known for his advocacy of evolutionary psychology and the computational theory of mind.

Pinker hasn't read Deepak Chopra? And he calls himself a professor?

The AMA monopoly prevents research in many areas, such as medical marijuana; and they lock poor people in prison for it. Steven Pinker has a lot of good science backing his research. MIT is only semi-private though, receives federal funding, so is bound to have strings and biases attached to their results. SP statements in this video are accurate, though.

In other words, most scientists are supporting the Military Industrial Complex, are opposed to the experiment known as "liberty" that is not much older than Darwin and have no problem treading all over it, if that will lead to the discovery of the Higgs or some other project. By the time the science of the mind gets used in practise, it quickly becomes the pseudo-science of Psychiatry and Phychology which has a success rate lower than religion or witch doctors, when it comes mental illnesses.

Nice question and nice, honest answer. Loved his books. Unfortunately, most scientists still believe in the magical powers of Keynesian economics and are equally living in a magical world, since they depend on theft, the banksters, and central planners to pay for their research.
