Couple of days ago I stumbled upon a video on youtube showing Brandon Vera Strengthening and Conditioning Program I was expecting Fireworks and elite level workout instead I was served with what Josh Hewett would call children workout or in my opinion when a dad takes his son to the gym and work him out with the empty bar so I decided to make this video.
No Disrespect to Brandon he is an awesome fighter I just think he is doing all the wrong things in his Strength & Conditioning that's why he got manhandled by Thiago Silva and almost got KO by Elliot Marshall

First of all most of us including myself are Judokas , Wrestlers , Boxers and Bjj practitioners such as matt pasquale none of us are acting as douchbags but as a Strength competitor it pisses me off when I see high level athletes training that way.
I respect Frank Mir, Shane Carwin and Overeem for training with true strength professional.
Also whenever ur in Toronto u can grapple with some of us

brandon would kick the shit out of any of those guys. mixed martial arts strength training is a whole different than power lifting. i guarantee my small ass sensei would work any of those guys in a grappling match. seriously, every week some roided out dbag comes to my dojo acting all hard and after 5 minutes theyre on their back getting worked by guys significantly smaller than them. after all your strength is only as good as it lasts.

Hmm, I don't think that's actually be how Brandon trains... must be just pretending to workout for the cameras. Who is the boy with him, helping him flip the tire and stuff... is that his son?
