Assalaam Aliykum, . I love this beautiful scholar, The madhabs are made easy for us so to chose one is perfectly fine. I am upset by the people that disregard the excellent imams, "What do you follow better, the prophet sallallahu aleyhi wa salaam or imam shafi'i rahimu'allah? a naive person would say the 'prophet sallallahu aleyhi wa salaam', but wouldn't imam shafi'i follow the prophet sallallahu aleyhi wa salaam." Mash'Allah, may Allah keep sheikh Muhammad on the straight and righteous path.

All I'm sayin is, The Origin which we're obligated by Islam 2follow is the Quranic verses & the authentic statements of the Prophet
As for the 4 Madhaahib, we HAVE TO follow Their understanding; their opinions. *But, being a BLIND (closed-eyes) follower of just 1... yes, for the lay, dumb Muslim this is their only option
But for us, Educated Muslims in America - its So crucial that we learn all 4 four standpoints, understand and respect them! And follow, yes, but with understanding
-
But now IN WHOSE UNDERSTANDING? In the understanding of our Righteous Forefathers, Abu Hanifa, Maalik, Ahmad, etc
but what I'm saying is, WE have no right to give preference to what 1 of these Giants over the other. *We can't say, I will blindly follow 1, and all others I will discard and ignore. You Can't do that!! All of them are equal, not 1 of them is low & the other is high.
So we should look @ALL THEIR 4 OPINIONS, and then choose what has stronger evidences to support it
i love this scholar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ibn Abidin said,
Fiqh was planted by Ibn Masud, watered by Alqama, harvested by Ibrahim al-Nikhai, trampled down by Hammad, grinded by Abu Hanifa, kneaded by Abu Yusuf and made into bread by Muhammad. Thus all the people are now eating from his bread.
