July 8th 2010 @ 11:30 p.m, firefighters were called to a house fire in the 19300 block of 73B Avenue. When they arrived, they found the house fully involved with heavy fire in the roof area. A 2nd alarm was called bringing more firefighters to the scene. The fire is thought ot have started by a faulty barbecue.
@laingadaing . I kinda thought so at first too..Then you have to remember what you learned about roof construction. These roof trusses have completely lost their integrity from the extreme heat! The possibility of collapse into the second floor and killing fire fighters to save a "house" is very high.
I do agree with your saving some contents before the pool scenario if possible. That is something that seems to have been forgotten by fire crews in the last few years.

Im surprised they didn't have guys go into the second floor and push it out. Looks like they wrote this one off a little early. I didn't see anyone carry out any valuables before they decided to make a swimming pool and push the fire deeper into the house. Hopefully lesson learned.
