M.U.S.H.A. for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive is one of the best vertical scrolling shooters that you can play for any system. It is fast paced and frantic. There isn't much of a storyline, but it doesn't matter. Just blow that hell out of everything that gets in your path.

Flying airships in these levels. There is a massive one in the second level. Also, this is where you first encounter the enemy leader, who fights in a M.U.S.H.A. similar to the player character. Luckily, he just stands around in this encounter.

  • @thecowboy2 oh man, you're right. i went to see it. hmm, it doesn't look as great as M.U.S.H.A but it has the same feeling. too bad it was released on Sega CD..haha, i never bothered with that console. Thanks for sharing. at least i got youtube to watch it.

  • @dannysimion And Robo Aleste was for the Sega CD, before I forget.

  • @dannysimion They did make a sequel - a prequel actually. It was Robo Aleste and it was set in 15th century Japan.

  • My favorite weapons were the shield and grenade missiles. I can never feel safe with the laster because theres no side protection or extra projectiles being shot out like the shield and the grenade missiles....

  • @TimelordR I agree with you. They should have made a sequel to this. It would have been pretty something! I guess back then this sort of genre wasnt as popular as it was in Japan...too bad, huh?

  • Hands-down my favorite stage. Just because of that female boss that I just had fun wiping off that mask out of. This game, seriously, had some creative backbone. Stage designs, soundtrack and sound effect, enemies were varied and seriously, it was just plain fun as well as exhilarating playing through this game. On any level, theres always some difficulty as the pace goes up and down so you never get too bored but its never too impossible to beat this game too!

  • Truly. a classic shmup from Compile.
