Dave is horrified to discover that he was insultingly truthful in a major magazine interview he gave while drinking, and as a result he is forced to issue apologies to outraged co-workers, but has to work especially hard to mend fences with Lisa. Meanwhile, Matthew is terrified of losing his position as the office's resident weirdo to a temp who just happens to be as weird as he is.

The office weirdo is played by French Stewart, best known for his role as Harry on the hit sit-com 3rd Rock From The Sun.

The end credits sequence features outtakes of Andy Dick and French Stewart's break room scene where they compliment each other on their weirdness.

In the scene right after Joe disappears using his 'Old Green Beret trick' Dave enters his office actively looking for Joe before Joe appears from nowhere. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you can see Joe's back hiding behind Dave's desk and you can also see him start to stand up, in plain sight of Dave.

Jimmy: You hand out more letters of apology than Union Carbide.
This is an allusion to the infamous Bhopal Disaster. On December 3, 1984. A Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, India. Leaked 40 tons of toxic methyl isocyanate gas, which killed more than 3,000 people outright, and injured anywhere from 150,000 to 600,000 others. It has been called the worst industrial disaster in history.

Bill: I'm...well, I'm hurt...deep down...where I'm soft...like a woman.

Joe: Hey look, I don't care what you say about me, but making fun of alien technology is just stupid.
