Sigh. Let's do this *my* way. A certain DVTV user has been phoning the local police department to make false claims that I sell meth and possessed illegal guns. And they came over to wake me up at 2 AM. It did not happen once, it happened twice. I got the court to trace the number. It was traced to a certain DVTV user. That "user" has been making threats on others via emails & VP calls. What to do next? We already blocked 'em but they find another way. What next?

Since you did not encounter the terminology, it means that the only place you interpreted is at a church? Which explains why you're clueless about the issues facing Deaf people on daily basis.

For you to urge us to stick on DVTV knowing that the management would not do anything else in particular is simply unfathomable.
Sometimes, you know, you should shut up and remain interpret for mindless churchgoers rather than to talk about us who dealt with b.s. in the last 2 years.

Ummm... did not remember that about Mr. Humphries' book... DVTV is the first place I've encountered that term "Audism" and it has been in the past year or so.

Honey, Audism is NOT a new word. It was coined by Dr. Tom Humphries in 1975. That is ... 34 years!
So your argument is moot at this point.
The whole conflict between the groups on DVTV boils down to the abysmal management of DVTV. Most notably: Tayler Mayer.
Many of us restrained ourselves in very professional manner when we got ugly emails, accusations and threats via different channels outside of DVTV but all of them came from certain DVTV individuals. This is why they left.DVTV.

Am I understanding correctly that the primary form of audistic harrassment is Deaf to Deaf on DVTV? I"ve certainly received my share of threats, threats to kill me, cursing, berating etc... pretty much from strangers (I'm assuming primarily hearing) in cyberspace. I block them, and have reported to Youtube the death threat dude. IMHO Tayler is not responsible for dealing with cyberbullying. The individual user is responsible to deal with indiv. incidences of harrassment by indiv. users.
