A bubble nest is what Male Bettas make so they can put the eggs there. You don't need a female to have you fish make a bubble nest. I have one male Betta and he made a bubble nest while I was at school. This means that they are happy and at their healthiest.

this betta has died 5 months ago :(

you can see in the video that his fins are not full

i bout another betta looks just the same he is doing great :)

i will upload a vid of him.i added a special food, i give him pellets and worms. dont go wrong worms are not enough for bettas its good as an extra ! its like a snack for them. my first betta was sick when i bout him but i also gave him only worms and he slowly lost his color and died

so if i get a female betta and put it in the same tank with my male betta will they fight or mate?

my betta, before he died last night, built a bubble nest spanning the entirety of his ten gallon aquarium!

@ilovebluemonkeys1 You should put the female in a glass jar and put the jar inside of the tank . If the male wags his body and the female responds by ramming into the glass or looking at him by the next day , you should either remove the pair and try a different pair , or just try to mate them again some other time . (: Hope this helped somehow .

@ilovebluemonkeys1 It depends. If you do not do it right, you may kill quite a few fish before the male accepts his mate. First off, you'll need to condition them. You can do it with a clear plastic breeding net, or just a tank divider. Just set the female in the breeding container or the other side of the divider. It may take a while for them to get used to each other (once they stop flaring and trying to tear each other to shreds)

@saixiong08 Make sure your Betta likes his tank and has nice ornaments in his tank. I came home from school today and I noticed a bubblenest in my Betta's tank :)

What should i do if the male isn't making the bubble nest? Is there any tips to making him build the nest?
