As a swansea fan i agree with you outlook on the game. one of the best perfomances of the season from us, and apparently one of the worst from you! i disagree with us not being the loudest of home supporters, from other visiting supporters the sound from has not been critisied often.
@TechTantrum Walcott is changing his shape very easy. But sometimes he's unrecognizable. I don't see any team to play with 3 defenders if that is what you're saying.
Inter has a very weak defensive because of 3 defenders and 2 wingers. In that case they need perfect defensive midfielder.
@HrsiK68 He Did Play A Part, Honestly Im Getting So Annoyed With Walcott, His been at the club for how long? 4/5 years he cannot cross the ball, He doesn't Track Back, He cant Tackle, He Cant Even Finnish! Such A waste of space, all he does when he gets the chance is knock it past the defender and Run. Wenger should have got a loan deal with taiwo!!, The and forge a defensive partnership between koscielny and vemaelen, not use mertesacker especially when arsenal play a high line
As a Swansea fan I thought it was our best attacking performance of the season, and one of our worst defensive performances. I thought our passing and movement was sensational, whilst Arsenal looked stale.
Good luck against Man U and for the rest of the season from a Swansea fan. I was delighted with the win yesterday, but I think most of our fans have a great deal of respect for Arsenal and Wenger for the way you've played under him. I don't get that hate your fans seem to have for Theo though, I think he's a fantastic player. As for Ramsey, he pretty much controlled the game when he came here with Cardiff last season, but maybe he was trying too hard this time .
And like you said on your twitter, Hayley, the circumstance of injuries and lack of key players (deja vu x1000) MUST be taken into consideration to avoid being OVERLY upset to the point of irrationality. The healthy win streak and confidence the team had in mid-October to mid-December will return.
One look at our upcoming games (and particularly one look at Spurs' next 7 or so) make me really hopeful and optimistic. They're, ideally, going to bump into some hardship and Arsenal have quite a few home games against top opposition. This is a positive in my book. The team, though they have dropped very crucial pts, yes, aren't technically doing THAT bad.. We are overachieving in a sense, like BlueyBox says. There is still the second half of the season to go. We will get back to winning ways.
64fabby completley agree mate how can you play ramsey ahead of Rosicky' It puzzles me! I would also start henry with van persie' I don't no why wenger keeps on persisting with average performances from' Walcott' Arshavin' Ramsey! Drop them and bring in others like Rosicky' Chamberlain' Henry! I am sure we would see real improvement!
Would also like to see Arsenal revert back to a 433 which we had in the days when we played Hleb, Fabregas and Flamini across the middle with RVP, Adebayor and someone else up front. Van Persie needs service, if we start him and Titi and possibly Walcott as an outside forward then have Arteta, Song and Rosicky in the middle (judged on form, subject to change) - that to me strikes as a better formation but that's just me i guess :)
Positives? Titi tried to inspire the team, van Persie is still working harder than everybody but is being forced to track back more often to win the ball, Koscielny played well and Miguel looks like a very good upcoming arsenal left back. No mention for Rosicky? Provided stability and ingenuity after coming on, should start next week and who knows what might've happened if it wasn't for that one shocking piece of refereeing to award them a penalty...
Haha great views from you both particularly your dad(?) I mean Song had a horrible game, giving the ball away left right and centre, Ramsey seemed yes to try too hard for the occasion, Theo's lost his way a bit which is a shame, Djourou and Mertesacker have zero confidence going forward and always look to retreat and pass to the goalkeeper who has to hurry his clearances, Arshavin needs dropping, another uninspiring performance from him and Yossi was largely ineffective too
@BlueyBox this guys speaks the truth, i dont know what it is, every season, arsenal struggling with injuries more than other teams, maybe i dont care enough about other teams but why do we always have the worst injury record, ohh and just to add, i've never been a fan of ramsey , cant wait for wilshere to get back in midfield
All I have got to say is be frightened of Swans you Arse. Hope you enjoyed your visit to Swansea loverly - give me a tinckle on the moby, and I will show you another part of Swansea, only visited for those priviledged choosen, love. wink - nice.....
Personally I think we are slightly overachieving at this point of the league. Nobody expected us to be 5th in the league, right now. After having the worst start a season for donkeys years, and injury problems Veramelen, Sagna, Wilshere, Gibbs, Santos, Song at the beginning of the season, I would happily even have Jenkinson fit, just to have one recognised full back! We have had flashes of brilliance this season once we get everyone back it will boost the squad and get back to winning ways.
I won't say 'Arsene out' but, really. It just goes on and on. (Then on a bit more). We just fight for fourth place, these days. Have done for years, really. The board just wan't to pay off the stadium, so that means: Fourth place in the league and quarter-finals, if at all possible, in the UCL at the expense of winning one of the two domestic cups. As for this nonsense, god knows. Buy, or borrow cover for the full-backs and bloody concentrate as a team!
