I climbed Mt Everest on $ 10.00 a day . Greatest expense was pop tarts with no frosting . Very hard to find in Kentucky . Also hard to find was a foam helmet , had to tie sorgum on my head .

@thehuckabee listen buddy...I took the time to look up this Ed Veisturs, and yes, he worked very hard to get the opportunity to climb Everest...but I still maintain that the vast majority of the climbers who attempt to ascend Everest, are very wealthy people...sorry again if this is upsetting...but there is no need to bring guns into this.

P.S. - I'll even remove my original post...I'm tired of responding to a remark I made more than a year ago.

what that video of mine didn't show is the exposure under where we were climbing. A fall there would result nothing breaking your fall or slowing you down until you hit a cluster of trees about 100 feet below.

Was I being cautious since I wasn't roped up? You bet your ass I was. The rope was next to me, but I was not clipped into it.
