@MadnessJuan The reason the first one was a success was 40% of the fact that it followed the novel, 60% of it's director, who was very famous. But he died shortly after and a crappy, inexperienced director directed BR 2

Battle Royale 2 was fucking horrible.

The reason the first movie was a success was because it followed (more or less) the Novel which it was based from.

The second was just a random movie, and it was terrible, the plot, everything.

@Inuyashagirl234 Because it would take too much time to explain Kazuo's story.

He's hands down the most interesting character in the series so explaining everything about him would take an entire movie in itself.

So they just scrapped the idea and went for a delinquent  type psychopath.

I wonder why they changed Kazuo into a psychopath intead of the calm, goodlooking, and brilliant sociopath he was in the book. Not that he isn't good looking in the movie, but the hairstyles are definitely different, and in the book, Kazuo has no emotions and never smiles
