A Nigerian wedding took place in New York on May 19, 2007. This is a short video clip of people dancing to traditional Nigerian music at the wedding reception.

  • obviously his would not be ghanian wedding, ghanians wear cheap tire and dire, or just plan one wrapper tied all over to cover part of the ass not the whole dress or the whole 9 yards

  • Well you should also take into account that there are more than just Igbo people at this wedding. There people representing each of the seven tribes no need to get tribalistic! But I do agree that the title of the video does not corrolate with the footage

  • @AmaOnyeOgabu bush!!

  • @Bluestarwarrior1 Its folk dance music. Still very popular at traditional events. The equivalent of irish folk dancing music.

  • @Bluestarwarrior1 Its Igbo Folk Music.

  • @xoamalaxo why do you say the title of the video doesn't go with the footage? I think it goes well...this is purely an igbo wedding and they are dancing to igbo music.

  • @AmaOnyeOgabu thats a very uncalled for comment, who told you ghanaians wear cheap tire and dire, have you ever seen a traditional ghanaian wedding before? watch what you say

  • Whats the name of the music?

  • Igbo Kwenu!

  • Enugu state deje nu ooo

  • What is this music called? It reminds me of a CD that I bought with some music they described as pygmie music and I didn't like it at all!! Not hatin' - I just don't like it and can't figure out how they caught the beat to dance to it- lol.

If anyone knows the name of the kind of music, let me know so that I can acclimate myself with it and listen to more.

  • this is culture in display,i love it
