Goodbye Ginger Lily, Love you ♥

Well I had to do it, because on friday (04/09/09), Lily's new loaners were coming to pick her up & take her to her new home and i didn't even know when I went in to horseworld on friday until Jess said. So i had to say goodbye. I spent all day with her, got her in from the field but as soon as I saw her I cried and throw my arms around her and she knew something was up. Then, I put her in a stable & gave her a nice long groom as it would be the last time I groomed her. Then, I just sat in the stable with her, watching her, giving her loads of hugs and kisses. Then I had to go to other things, like feed Toby, who takes forever to eat & I was getting worried that I wouldnt see Lily leave, so i hand fed him to speed him up a bit. Then I ran back to the yard, & look in the tack room but her tack was gone so I thought I had missed her leaving, so I went to check the stable & saw a car & a trailer but she was still in her stable. So i went straight in with & gave her some cuddles, kisses & my last few polos when I heard Jess (trainer) coming & a women's voice & I thought well this is it, this is goodbye. I could feel the tears coming and i tired to hold them back, which I managed to until they got her loaded and all ready to go and then Maddie came out to see if I was ok then I just couldn't hold the tears back no more & she grabbed me & took me away cz she knows i hate crying in front of people. Then I watched the trailer go up the drive & out of sight I thought she gone, she's really gone. Everyone on the yard was trying to cheer me up but no I didn't want to. Everyone kept saying she's gone to a good home, you'll find another horse. To be honest, I wanted her good home to be with me & I won't ever find another horse like her, she is one in a billion.
I love you Lily, I hope you never forget me because i will never forget you.

i sat here in tears whe waching this i just swpped my filly for now my 5 yr old tb x missing her loads but im luckky andstill get to see her :) x shell be missing u mills u no so did u just loan her or was she yours put up for loan ? xx

But now you can take that experience onto other horses! And maby one day you'll hear about this lovely girl (:
