Air-conditioned driver's seat

The fully air-conditioned driver's seat ensures agreeable sitting comfort in all temperature conditions. In winter the integrated seat heater generates a cosy and warm atmosphere. In high temperatures in summer a hardly noticeable flow of air with a controlled temperature cools and dries the contact surfaces of the seat upholstery and backrests. Here two radial fans generate the necessary flow of air though the seat upholstery. Both the fan and the heater can be switched to three different levels. A temperature sensor in the seat upholstery together with a correspondingly designed control unit monitors the comfort interval (between 30 and 33 °C) in the contact area. The use of active air conditioning permits the driver to be more relaxed and comfortable when driving and thus reduces the physical strain.
