  • As a Muslim i think separation of religion and the state will keep the the religion pure, i also support the separation of state from religious ritual.

religion natural place is in the hart of man/woman not in the corridor of power.

  • "Jesus was a political activist..."

Really? That's not my impression of him. I could bring up countless quotes from the gospels that show he was anything but. In fact, this is the very reason why, in the story, the Jews were confused, because they expected somebody who would rid them of Roman oppression.

  • CNN is asking if someone ELSE is unethical? Let me get this straight.....CNN, the clinton news network, is asking if someone other than CNN is unethical??? Did these people once work at CNN? 'Cause THAT would make sense...... ??? (???)

  • This nun should be fighting for women's rigths inside the Church

  • You are the exception to the rule then. Tell me, what rights do you want exactly that you do not have now?

  • @CommonSenseJoe i don't care about the title. i just want the rights. and i am not opposed to a civil union. its many people of faith that oppose them. here in wisconsin they banned both same-sex marriage and civil unions. so don't tell me that i want to be accepted. i don't give a f*ck if you like me or accept me just give me my rights

  • @Yakslipper I claim nothing of the kind. If gays wanted the benefits, they would be content to have civil unions. Yet they opposed them.

I make nothing of it other than people who screw around get STD's whether hetero or homosexuals.

  • @CommonSenseJoe - you aren't stating facts you are offering your twisted opinion. You claim to know the motives of gays in seeking marriage equality...how presumptious is that? Here's a fact - there are more heterosexuals with HIV that gays. What do you make of that?

  • @Gyrode Respectfully, they don't want the benefits. Nearly every benefit can be obtained legally through other means. This is why they are so against civil unions. This is about forcing us to recognize their relationship are normal and acceptable. We are talking about redefining the fundamental basis of marriage for less than 3% of the population who want to play "house" and call it marriage.

  • @CommonSenseJoe For a long time in the US, there was "fault divorce," there had to be some substantial reason for a marriage breakup. Now we have no fault divorce. "Marriage" has essentially been reduced to a contract between one man, and one woman for extra tax benefits...that's all that's left. What they're fighting for in CA is a word (and dishonesty)...but in states like Idaho they really want those benefits.
