Thanx for the video it is the most bare and basic i've seen but definitely the most helpful. you'd be suprised but this is the only vid that shows how to lengthen a clip

Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut Pro are two different programs with different feature sets. I would recommend either, though I use Final Cut Pro myself. If you are just starting out, I would recommend Final Cut Express, available for $199.

Thank you for answering my question. Is there a big difference between express and pro bc in terms of price it's a landslide.
Also does apple offer classes for pro?

In short, I would say no. Get Express.
Final Cut Express is a video editing program. Final Cut Pro is also a video editor, but adds support for more professional video formats, and other specialized tools. Final Cut Pro only comes in the Final Cut Studio package. It includes about six other pro programs for making DVDs, fine-tuning audio, motion graphics, compression, etc. It's a full solution for post-production.
Not sure about training - check the apple website. Also Google "LAFCPUG"

I think that something is wrong i can't drag my clips and change length anyone wit similar problem please help!

Make sure you highlight the desired clip and position to mouse on the edge. If you are unable to drag to adjust the start/end point, it may be possible that there isn't any video beyond that point., and it is the end of your clip.
