I had great prejudice against German people growing up in a Jewish home in the 60's. I only thought of them as Nazis and monsters who would like to kill me on sight. Later I read 2 books by the author Heinrich Boll, "The Clown" and "Group Portrait with Lady" that made me see Germans as human beings, with deep emotions like the rest of us and I was able to let go of my preconceptions. Always read to broaden your mind!

interestingly that was just what i was doing. broadening my fact base and fitting my god given intuition to it.

This happened to me when I read Hitler's Table Talk. I was captivated and entertained by this fellow. What is more, I felt educated.

Listen, I think the best thing in life is when you have an opinion and you defend it with your life and offend anyone who thinks the opposite. Then, suddenly, for whatever reason, you see the situation in an entirely new light. Maybe you learn that a close friend of yours needed an abortion or that someone you really respect is a drug addict. And so, you change your mind and grow a little bit. Nothing wrong in that.

found- and lost one on enjoying life. so here I am. I found your book, Maktub in Spanish in a Friends of the Library book store, and since I am studying spanish, I bought it. It is wonderful. Can't find it in English anywhere, so donloaded it from your site. Thank you so much. I will be buying more. As to living well and being happy, I think it takes the sweet and the bitter to make us really cherish life- and feel really alive. I take every day as a miracle. Love your work. will be back!

the eckhart tolle book "the power of now" was on my not read mental list for several years--it was a limited judgment on my part because of a personal perception of it being sooooo the thing to read---however after reading it/ I NOW believe it 's great stuff!!

I think you should't hate yourself because respect doesn't always come from wanting to accept yourself.

I usually only take other's opinions when those opinions concern something that isn't all that important for me. Otherwise, I try to check it out myself.
I change my mind everytime that I listen a childrens opinion about something, they always have other perspective about things.
And in money issues, I always thought that money it´s not important, but it´s really hard grow up and know that in real life it´s very important, mostly if you have kids

I think by changing your mind after reconsidering your thoughts, you can clearly understand if you are accepted by some people because of You, or because they were seeking for people with the exact same thoughts ,due to their hudge ego.
