I think you're wrong... the picture shows that the "montauk monster" was lying dead on sand. However, if the bloating was caused by water which you may have predicted as water coming from the sea(salt water), then you're probably mistaken. It is for the reason that the creature should have shrunk instead of bloating due to the high concentration of salt.
