What would happen if you made a movie soundtrack using only soundtrack albums of other movies? The Evolution Control Committee did it, after being invited to compose a score to the silent horror classic Nosferatu. The result was a fun collage of familiar tunes, DJ'd live at the movie theater. It also launched Reels Of Steel, a series of turntable soundtracks to silent films. For each movie, a tightly-composed soundtrack is DJ'd live using vinyl records only. While Nosferatu sticks with only other movie soundtracks, other films such as Chess Fever get a soundtrack where anything goes.
boring...uuäääääähhhhh

So how do we get to see a competed version?
A nice thing that we have where I live is St. John's Cathedral where every Halloween you can watch a silent movie accompanied by their organ. I once had the pleasure to watch/listen to Nosferatu.

This is such a cool idea.
Are the audio tracks available? Spinning new soundtracks for public domain flicks would be sweet.
