Noggin the Nog - Nogbad the Bad

anyone remember a prog with a ginger haired who now days would be classed as adhd.....marmalde something

I was a toddler when I used to watch this and Nogbad was so scary I used to cry behing the sofa!

What can I say, that has not already been said. In todays world, we have lost something special, and this programme shows just a bit of it. All the computer graphics on earth, haven't given us any kids programme yet, to beat this one.

Apologies for not commenting when I faved it. A beautiful gem that will stay with so many of us who enjoyed it back then, and still do. I think it helped open a lot of minds to a world of imagination and speculation, even before a lot of unrepentant hippes started spreading their evil message through late 60s-early 70s kids' TV. :)

The "nordic" feel of the fantasy would seem at odds with today's multiethnic societies. But it certainly wasn't intended as such, it just took that context as a starting-point for some rollicking tales. I think these shows were an inadvertent antidote to racism - if you can accept a big green bird or an ice-dragon into your heart how could you possibly have a problem with people of a different complexion? :)
