Footage of the only goal, a Graeme Sharp penalty, that settled the Quarter Final replay at Portman Road. Everton's 10th triumphant tie on the spin took them through to their second consecutive semi final in a run which would steer them to the second of three FA Cup finals on the spin. The Toffees' were sporting black arm bands following the death from a heart attack, four days earlier at Goodison Park, of the club's former manager, Harry Catterick, immediately after the original tie which saw a nerve-wracking 2.2 draw with the Suffolk side. A last minute, replay-forcing equaliser from Derek Mountfield had denied the Suffolk side a famous win after they had overturned a 1.0 deficit (the famous "twice taken" Sheedy free kick) to lead 1.2. In the replay, though Russell Osman was harshly adjudged to have handled, the ensuing and decisive penalty was just reward for a dominant Everton, not least because the first-half had seen a Trevor Steven thunderbolt ruled-out for not crossing the line, despite TV evidence showing it to be well over after it bounced down off the bar (see the video "Everton 1984-85, tribute focus to Trevor Steven").
