In 2008 Obama wasn't even in office. Even if the Democrats had supermajorities in 2008, Obama couldn't do anything. He wasn't President. The economy crashed in 2008, and George W Bush put his two wars on a credit card, then left Obama with the bill, plus the bill for TARP, plus an economy in crisis. When Obama took office he did a stimulus, and passed universal health reform. The majority of the debt was created under Bush. We now need to pay for it, but republicans blocked any tax increases

In 2008 Democrats controlled Congress, the Senate (with super majorities) and the White House (Republicans become irrelevant) In 2010 Americans return Republicans to Congress, Democrats hold the Senate and the White House (2/3’s of Government). In 2012, Americans by a ratio of 2:1 fear Obama will be re-elected…
