Judy Kuhn - And When I Die (Laura Nyro)

Anticipating her 2007 American Songbook series of Laura Nyro songs (and following her Obie Award winning turn in Eli's Coming), Judy Kuhn belts And When I Die out of the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and on into space somewhere.... Kuhn's SERIOUS PLAYGROUND: THE SONGS OF LAURA NYRO releases October 2nd, and Kuhn is supporting it with four Monday gigs at Joe's Pub, a B&Noble appearance, and a trip down to Kennedy Center as well.

Ms. Kuhn does a great job with the song but the piano player is out of this world. Who is he and what else has he done?

His name is Jeffrey Klitz -- he co-produced Kuhn's SERIOUS PLAYGROUND Laura Nyro CD (along with Kuhn and Joel Moss), does most of Kuhn's arrangements (beautifully), and musical directs for Kuhn when she's performing live.

I met Judy when we were both working for a summer stock theater in NH back in 1983. She is one of the most amazing singers ever, as well as a great person. She inspired me to become a singer as well. She is awesome and I wish her all the best always.

Thanks for posting this... I am a big Laura Nyro fan and I will have to find Judy's versions of her tunes... Judy is one of the few singers who can do Laura's songs justice!
