How often do you weigh yourself? If it is daily -- you need to realize this is not neccesary or normal. Why let that number determine how you feel about yourself today?
It's not true. Ever since I lost 7lbs, which I thought was nothing, everyone keeps talking about how much weight I lost, infact, a few people are angry. A few pounds does show, at least on me, I've noticed that all my "rolls" are now gone, and I can fit into clothes I couldn't for years. Just 7lbs. Imagine when I lose another 20. I know I need help and I can't stop, the worst for me is when I go to eat and it makes me feel sick, even when I'm hungry. I hate "just eat!" I'm trying! *sigh*
After two years- eating healthy, loving myself, and keeping a positive mental attitude, I still weigh myself basically whenever I enter the bathroom. Whether it be to use the toilet, take a shower, do my hair, etc (anywhere from 5-10 times a day). I think this is one thing that I am still stuck on. Though I don't punish myself anymore, if that number goes down/stays the same, I'm happier. I really only take it as a grain of salt, but it still makes my mood fluctuate a little. Hard to describe.
I was told before i got out of treatment i shouldnt weigh myself for the next year. I use to weigh myself every commercial break.and the otherday i was at the store and saw one and weighed myself. and now im struggeling again. it was a huge mistake.
lil over a year ago b/c it was broken (kicked it one too many times). Now, I don't weigh myself anymore, and when I have to get weighed in at the dr's I do it blind. It's kinda nice not knowing how much I weigh. Freeing! =)
I don't know if I agree that no one notices if you go up or down a few pounds. Back when I was at my sickest, I used to notice that I would get a lot more male attention (checking me out, flirting, etc.) when I went UP a few pounds--like between 5 and 10. I thought I looked horrible and fat, but really was at a healthy, normal weight. It was when I was at my lowest that I looked horrible. Anyway, back to your question: I used to way myself at least a dozen times a day, but chucked my scale a
i got rid of mine before i left for treatment and i just got back monday. and i was weighing everyday in treatment but now im a waiting a year before i weigh myself.
I use to weigh myself once a day. As the ed became worse, I weighed myself more often. (Several times per day). Now that the ed is quite bad and I am about to go IP for treatment...I don't weigh myself at all bc frankly...I am too damn scared of what the stupid little machine is going to tell me! How pathetic is that, that I am allowing a Machine and a Number control my life!?! INSANE!!!
