It legal here in TX also.So long as you have a trapping lic.But in a survival situation any thing goes

@NinjaReptiles steel leaders are for attaching yout hook to your fishing line when you are fishing for fish that have sharp teeth that would cut normal fishing line. Gar is one example.

Bunny Huggers Lol : ) if you catch Animals to eat these people kick up a fuss, and then go and buy Rabbit Chicken Turkey Beef Lamb from a Store. Hypocrites. Im not sure if Snaring Animals is legal in England where I live. But I know if you drill a hole in a Penny to make a locking device for your snares you can be arrested, Its called defacing the Queen. : ) Stupid isn't it !

unfortunately snaring is illegal in many if not all states in the USA, which makes caring around the standard brass wire snare difficult if you come across any law enforcement in your trek. I like this fishing leader idea though, just throw a bunch of fishing line and hook in there(like you already should) and you have a plausible story. Just don't make the snares ahead of time :)

Sorry snaring is ileagle where you live, in Ohio snaring is absolutley leagal brother as long as they have locks and are tagged.
