1.) ES44AC CP 8849 singlehandedly powers a short eastbound manifest train #280 at Peterson Road east of Wisconsin Dells.
2.) AC4400CW CP 9524 does the same with westbound train #199, after departing Lewiston Siding just to the east where it met 8849. This train is seen again as it highballs Lyndon Station. Today's 199 has some general manifest freight tacked on to its usual mix of autoracks and doublestack containers.
3.) Amtrak #8, the eastbound Empire Builder, blows through Mauston with a few interesting cars on the end. Not sure if they are private varnish or part of a special Amtrak fleet.
Video by my dad.
@thebesttrainvids I think that sends out a real-time signal of where the train is, so the dispatchers know where the train is.

CP has a habit of running single-unit trains. don't know why...

The private cars belong to the Milwaukee 261 fleet. They are ex-Amtrak Clocker coaches. They were on their way east to be used on the New River fall colors excursions. The Horizon car at the end is Amtrak's and was deadheading back to Chicago.
