Filmed at the Granada Studios in Manchester in 1981.

One day it's now or never
To stay at home
Sometime the dreams are better
One thing you hold
Believe that all this distance
Keeps me alone
What (??) the last reaction
I'll never know
I'll never know
I'll never know

Believe me
All I said to you
Believe me
All I did for you
All I did for you
All the time it takes to come through
And live in doubt
Sometimes they keep you waiting
For a look around
I've got a friend in here somewhere
Who can't get me out

Believe me
All I said to you
Believe me
All I did for you
All I did for you
All I did for you
All I did for you

  • to me this is house music... New Order just didnt know it yet.. fuck they were so far ahead of their time.. this is amazing!

  • Hooky playing a mean lead guitar! And Gillian's Arp Quadra as the bass-line. Just shows how much they fooled around with the line-up to get the sound in their heads.

  • i love bernard for that he cant sing,

  • @psssyche

it was shot at granada studios

  • Love NO, but Barney's vocals definitely not on par with Ian when they were in JD. However, Barney really helped to instill the NO sound and I love this band so much. Pity they split, just like another of my favourites now, REM.

  • Steven Morris, a drum-manchine with heart

  • ok. i ll be 40 in five days. I liked this band when I was a kid, and I just listened to this song 3 times. Im a big Radiohead fan and this is where they started. This show is absolutely amazing and beautifull.

  • Steven Morris, the lean mean drumming machine!

  • start sounds like JDs these days

  • At this stage Barney had no idea what his 'natural' vocal style would be, which was sorted out by the time of recording PC&L. If he based his style on anyone at this point, I would say Josef K's Paul Haig. An interesting role model!
