https://twitter.com/JosueDiaz I eat breakfast everyday, but some mornings require something faster that still provides a high level of nutrition, protein and slow-release of carbohydrates. This breakfast is very filling and should be followed up in 2-3hrs w/a higher caloric/protein option to really fuel your metabolism. I've been reading up on the science behind a post by Tim Ferriss, http://is.gd/7DhrC and although this breakfast deviates from what he mentions, I think it's on the fringe of the logic.

Great comment. Thanks for stopping by.
I do agree that buying the seeds whole and grinding them yourself is a MUCH BETTER solution for a better (as in more accurate) nutrient profile + benefit.
If not stored properly, flax seed can easily become rancid.

I buy whole flax seed but grind it up with a coffee grinder. It's not as convenient but buying flax seed already ground is always a bit iffy, as the nutritional content lowers if it's not stored correctly.

@wappaw
Nice! Everything you've described are items I'm a huge fan of. :)
It's amazing more people (as in adults) have never had steel cut oatmeal.
