Great! Django has left a host of musical decendants.

Too smooth for me. Escellent technically but when I heard him live he was indeed a well oiled example of german engineering and precision as mpcguy stated. His live tone was too rounded and full, lacking the thin tremulous twang of that Macaferri gypsy sound. He was more like Tommy Emmanuel playing Django style. It didn't help that Dad was not playing a gypsy jazz guitar. I loved Joscho on YT but left the concert early because I felt curiously detached.

@slorge I heard him live after loving him on YT but I left early as his tone was not authentic (too rounded and full) and he just seemed too detached and too smooth. He is technically excellent but gypsy jazz is better a bit rawer.

I would like to see him and Jack Black in the same room, though...look like twins.
