I think it is a genius idea!

People at parties could serve themselves, use auto-pour, (or pour it themselves if they wanted 100% control.) They would still only get what they ordered. And after the party, (or maybe the day after...) they could pay for the beers.

There are many situations where self-serving would be a great idea:

Closed parties, at stands at a conference, hotels that has a buffet, but they want the beer/wine separated and paid when checking out. The possibilities are endless!

I think its awesome, great work. Like others said, I think the focus is on the automated interface and not the beer pouring techniques which Belgian's are so worried about. Great project!
