Ingredients:

1 pound clams (cleaned and steamed open)
1 cup water
2 TBSP Minced garlic
1 TBSP Black Beans
1 TBSP Chili Pepper
1.5 to 2 TBSP Oyster Sauce
2 TBSP Soy Sauce
2 TBSP corn starch mixture (equal corn starch to water)
1 TBSP Sugar

  • daym that looks delish! thanks, this is my fav dish at the local chinese restaurant. i tried to wing it on my own before but kinda failed, i can't wait to try again!

  • Ahh my reasoning is the clams has juices to release into the sauce.

  • Instead of pre streaming the clams add to the boiling mixture MINUS the cornstarch mixture. Once clams pop open add the cornstarch mixture.

  • This recipe is off the hook excellent.

    The idea of pre-steaming the clams is brilliant; keeping the integrity of the sauce that would otherwise be comprised from the additional cooking time if the clams were raw. Great idea! Bravo!!
