Welcome back to the Ajaxo Table for Four series.

In today's segment, we're going to make Dungeness Crab with Green Onion! It is a GREAT time to get fresh, live Dungeness Crab - it's the best time of the season. It helps that pretty much anywhere selling live Dungeness Crab is doing so at $2.99 to $3.99 a pound!

Today's segment will show you how to set up a Dungeness Crab in just 15-20 minutes!

Groceries for Today:
- Two (2) 1.5 pound-Dungeness Crabs at $2.99 per lb.
- One (1) pound of baby bok choy at $0.88 per lb.
- One (1) 3 lb.-whole chicken at $0.88 per lb. (used indirectly)
- Three (3) cloves of garlic
- Three to Four (3-4) stalks of Green Onions at 3 bunches for $0.99 (1 bunch contains approximately 6 stalks)

In a separate bowl (or steamer), we'll cook the chicken - add pepper, salt for standard light seasoning. For a little bit more flavor throw some garlic cloves inside the chicken along with 1 stalk of Green Onions cut into slivers. Total cooking time: 30 minutes. When done, turn off the heat, set aside.

You can have the crab cut up and cleaned by the store or choose to do it yourself. We had the store do it for us (saves time). When you bring it home, it doesn't hurt to rinse everything through once again. Place it in a pot, bowl, pan that is large enough to contain the crab pieces.

Next, dice up the cloves of garlic and sprinkle on top. Wash 3-4 stalks of Green Onions and cut them into 2-3 inch slivers. You can approximate the length to your liking.

Remove the whole chicken. Pour the resulting broth/soup onto the crab. This will give your crab a delightfully sweet, more grounded flavor. You may opt to cut up the chicken as part of this meal, or save it for another meal.

Let it steam for about 15-20 minutes and you're ready. Take out and serve.

On the way out, I happened to see a very fresh, tasty pound of baby bok choy - also being sold at Ranch 99 - for an everyday value of $0.88. I couldn't help myself. So I bought myself home a pound. It's a perfect balance to the crab (and chicken if you've decided to use it for this meal). Easy to cook. Oil your pan, bring to a high heat, and throw the vegetables in. Sprinkle salt lightly about 30 seconds in. Cover, stir occasionally, and it'll be ready in about 4-5 minutes.
