May I ask where you purchased your tunic and large mjolnir? They both look very nice.

Very true on Spear Phalanx the swords man wielding two handed long swords would never make it to the Spear men in formation only if it were in single combat. This is why the sword was carried as a back up and for single combat and area's were the spear is to long such as indoors, forest, ect.

I am pretty certain swords weren't every really common on the battlefields of Japan and never were primary weapons. With a katana you aren't getting past a wall of spears. Admittedly, Japan was more about personal honor, but if a guy with a sword is closing in on the guy in front of you, you'll give him a good stabbing to save your chum (unless you owe him money or slept with his wife, then you might let him get cut down before stabbing the chap with the sword).

Same with Samurai fighting. Samurai in most armies used a spear, didnt even HAVE a sword. Most fights ended in seconds

    Bonus: Captcha was THORPANTZI lmmfao

I dont understand HOW anyone can get such specific techniques from the sagas, and I RARELY trust Historians as most all of them read ten books on a subject and write an eleventh, and the first ten just reference each other (a perfect example is Hitler. Most of it is all bullcrap, even Toland. Only Irving is of the few to be trusted, but never mind that here). That said, I'm so curious I HAVE to buy this book. Thanks, guys.

Hell yes! Subscribed! If I were to leave a section of my shield unprotected, I think I'd up a safety band about 6 inches or so from the rim, just to make sure I keep my hand. Hail! From The Land Of Kings!
