Not every1 in PH were Muslims before colonization & they were not united. The pintados & their contemporaries in Visayas were animist & the Muslim kingdoms were there enemies. It's ignorance that divides the Musalmanes & Cristianos & not Spain or anyone else. The war in Mindanao isn't a religious war. I'm not against the beauty of the Islamic faith. Xtianity was use as oppression/slavery tool by old spain, erase culture in philipine, mexico etc. Islam gave idea to resist/preserve culture/land, which would you choose? have you heard of Sultanate of Manila. they were massacred by old spain, they are one who resist bastardazation of the country. thres no such race as Filipino, you are malays, you are descendants of sultans and are free people. old spain put hatred w/ muslims so u fight their war in mindanao, wat did u get? colonial mentality.

Hello, ChristianjobPH. I don't know if they all know (many things get taught in school but we forget later), but I know that the majority of Latin Americans don't know. You used the word 'occupy', the correct word ,is 'colonize', they changed the 7100 islands' cultures and lives and history forever. 'occupy' means that they did not alter the original peoples' lives.
