This installation is an attempt to connect the space and its viewer through mirroring.
I began working with wooden boxes that used to cover organ pipes which were just laying around, occupying space, studio space; where people would come and go and make their way around them. Eventually these boxes became part of the space, they began to blend in as they were left alone. So came the motivation to recreate this connection of the space (the studio) and these objects (the boxes). This bond of course is only how the inhabitants of the space began to perceive their environment, so i decided to recreate that idea by explicitly presenting this collaboration of objects with the space to its viewer.

While recreating the environment of the boxes, I began to project their image through out the space as a way to express that bond perceived by the users of the studio.

Consequently came the need to connect the viewer with the environment, and cameras were placed throughout the installation projecting realtime video upon the boxes and the space itself in such a way that the viewer would pass by the boxes and actually be imposed by their presence as the object's image is starkly interfering with the viewer's, and vice-versa at certain moments. Making the viewer an active player in the marriage of the space and its objects.

In a way the installation is about this reciprocity of presence between viewer and space and the boxes, manifested rather bluntly through interference of images.
