For as long as I can remember, I've had a burning, stubborn hatred for poetry. So I avoided it like it was a violent homeless serial-rapist leper who, by some cruel twist of fate, also had SuperAIDS. Worse, he always smelled like fish, even though we were miles from the ocean. Recently, I had to read this for a class, and discovered something: I hate Ginsberg even more than poetry itself, because he gave me poetry I actually understand and love.  I'll never forgive him for being awesome. Ever.
