He didn't re-create the character. The Nolan film series is based on certain Batman comics including Year One, The Killing Joke, etc... Are you really going to complain about one character he added? If you hadn't noticed, all these comic book movies have done. There was no Agent Coulson in the Avenger comic books, but he was a key addition to the movie and was well liked. Oh and did I mention Nick Fury was a white guy???

but we're not gonna deny that snyder is a hit and miss director sometimes are we? sucker punch? like logically speaking there were some concepts in that movie that was conveyed lazily. style over substance at its finest. all that aside watch men was amazing and because of that super hero movie i trust snyder. although the atmosphere of man of steel is so signature nolan so far from what i;ve seen in trailers

Ok calm down comic book nerds.... So what if the dark knight movies didn't follow the comic books let the director and the writer tell the way they want to tell it. Of course their doing the research on the characters and their origins and everything else so don't be do anal about it. So if you can do a better job then write your own movie and if not then shut the fuck up

You're getting me absolutely wrong, some"real batman fans"say that Nolan's Batman movies aren't connected to the comics.I'd say his movies are more connected to the comics than any others with best example the Dark Knight and a Long Halloween. And I think it's BS that people bother that much about movies not following a comic 100%,they could just be another universe. So read your comments on youtube better:P.

You know nothing! Nolan use the source materials from Batman Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, Killing Joke, No Man's Land, and Knightfall for his Batman films. He stayed true to the comics. So do your research more!

None of all the batman movies exactly followed a comic. I think the Dark Knight is pretty much closest to a comic book a batman movie has ever been (the long halloween). John Blake's character is based on the multiple robins that were in the comics. I still think it's weird "the real batman fans" even bother a little about it, it's like the comics, just another version in another universe.

Oh trust me I have plenty of issues with The Dark Knight Rises, but they're mainly to do with plot isuses and the pacing of the film. I don't have a problem with the characters themselves (although they did make Commissioner Gordon look kind of like a bumbling idiot in this one, something he was not in the first Nolan films). And that issue you bring of is one of the plot issues I have a problem, among several others.

Yeah, Movie directors always get shit from people for not making the movies exactly like the comics. I love Nolan's approach to Batman. It was dark, and serious. Nobody can honestly say that you like Joel Schumacher and George Clooney's batman any better, can you? My only bitch about the dark knight trilogy is that batman takes 8 years to himself just to mope about rachel's death. I thought that was out of character. I really hope the reboot is a little more like the justice league cartoon

he couldn't call him dick grayson because it would ruin the twist at the end, have you no brain? If he said his name from the beginning (as he did, calling himself Blake to everyone) then everyone would know he's Robin and perhaps waiting til he puts on the outfit. Besides, that's not the reason why the movie is bad, the movie has tons of other flaws that matter more than the one you mentioned.

Nolan and Goyer are the 2 people listed as writers. It was Goyer's original idea so he probably had the most infuence on the story.
