  • @mattyco1234 fuckn aay, a mattyco comment! you the best matty, you didnt even call no one a f#@# idiot. you must be takin yer aderol, good boy

  • @simonianfamily yes. implicates a push draw

  • with a S&T swing, what is the direction of a divot for iron shots, to the right (right handed golfer)?

  • @mazdaspeedmx512lbs without rehinging the wrist it would produce a lower shot, the purpose of this drill is to show the flying wedge, or maintain the right wrist angle through impact.

  • Does that change the trajectory of the ball flight or something?

  • @tonybonez keep at it, once to get that feel of "trapping" the ball I'm sure the feeling will stick. This drill actually helps promote not flipping the wrist. I think the vid you would find helpful is nick clearwater mike bennett drill where he drives the club into the ground. Good Luck!

  • @spartanstackandtilt

Yes exactly, I flip with my wrists, eventhough I try nt to. I have even tried taping a ruler to my wrist to keep it straight. Ideally the best thing is to actually have a slight bow it the left wrist, the opposite of flipping.

I will check out those vids.

  • @tonybonez I imagine this is common, I struggle with it also. When you say "break down" are you flipping your wrist? Concentrate on keeping your left arm straight through impact and maybe your right arm will follow. Nick Clearwater has some good vids on the key positions of SandT that explain how this should look and feel. It might help to think you are trying to trap the ball at impact not scoop it off the ground. Good Luck!

  • @mattyco1234 I don't see the wrist flip

  • @spartanstackandtilt

That is what every instructor says everytime I get a lesson, that my wrists break down through impact, so essentially the famous "flying wedge" is just another way of saying that........

Just trying to get info as I am having trouble with all aspects of wedge shots.
