Tell them than in addition to being a blatant attempt to intimidate the Ameican people into silence, this bill represents yet another illicit relationship between Congress and private business that puts profit and influence above the rights of the people, that you WILL NOT stand for it, and that they can count on you voting for their next electoral opponent if they support it.

Hillary and Schumer are my Senators and do not care about the citizens. They rule with their name and money and never listen to me...I already got on them about this and am sure they will not care again.

I am sure this will pass because it will give more power to our 1 party 2 wing politicians.

This legislation was put forth by Jane Harman. She is a democrat. This shows that the parties are one in the same.  They see that the people are starting to wake up to the lies.

It's like Germany in the 30's all over again.

Don't know if there's a vote scheduled. It would be kind of hard to hide it inside another bill, since you can track what's happening with it @ the govtrack dot US site. I would just check in there on a regular basis. One of your senators had no comment?! That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. These people work for US. It's their damn job to answer our questions! I'd love to know who that is if you'd like to share that info.

S. 1959 was introduced in the senate on August 2, 2007 by Susan Collins (R-Maine). Co-sponsored by Norm Coleman (R-Minnesota). The House version of the bill (H.R. 1955) was introduced by Jane Harman (D-California) on April 19, 2007 and passed the House on Oct. 23 by a 404-6 vote with 22 not voting. Don't know who wrote it. Probably lobbyists for the companies who will profit from contracts with the government to implement it.
