Firstly, anyone with any form of common sense adds Steve's age plus recent injury problems and concludes no top club will be keen on acquiring his services, let alone contemplate being in accordance with the extremely unreasonable selling free LP will most probably be asking for him. @dsdan83 in that real madrid match i looked it up weeks ago he was not played in cm in that gamer i thinjk he missed the first leg and came bacjk for the second, but as i said before in 08/09 whern rafa used two holding players the most gerrard was played up behind torss hence as you say he linked up with the strikers i'm telling you facts that you can find on google, you pick one game the rm one yet in nearly all the league games in 08/09 he played as a second striker fact

@dsdan83 again as i said whenb in cm he was a box to box player that means he was liverpools driving force going foward with his power,running ablity getting goals and his passiong but when the other team had the ball he would run back and try and win it he played with non stop enrgy getting from box to box, he was not a master dm where you could play him in that role but like a viera and keane he would drive from box to box accept he got alot more goals.
