A visit to Rouen France, including the superb cathedral. The main square is also famous for being the spot where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. A historic site just west of Paris. Shot on HD in 2006.
@tunneltug The one I liked best was the 'Bistro d'Adrian', but if you look at my other videos, you may see that I am biaised, but there were several along the side of the Vieux Marche.
The only place I have found a 'rubbish' restaurant was in Dunkirk.
I did have a laugh in one cafe in Rouen, I asked for coffee in my best schoolboy French, the barman shrugged & looked puzzled. Le Patron, in perfect 'Oxford' English told him what I wanted. I thoroughly recommend visiting the town.
Thanks for the video, it captures the feel of Rouen nicely, I've just got back from a weeks visit, nice town, friendly people, interesting history, rubbish restaurants
Thank God...someone who knows what a tripod is for. Certainly makes for a watchable video. However some commentary, and continuing music would be nice. It seems like the sound just dropped out about a quarter way through.
Una de mis 10 ciudades favoritas y la 7 de Francia después de Bordeaux, París, Lyon, Toulouse, Lille y Grenoble.... Francia es mi país favorito en todo el mundo y ésta catedral de Rouen, es mi favorita.

@harryfaber You could be right, I was only there for 1 week, perhaps if I'd had more time I could have found the good ones

@tunneltug I thought the restaurants were excellent!

@lapaquidelospuertos: It's fragments from the 3rd movement of the 4th Brandenburg Concerto by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Could you please reupload this video in HD if you still have the copy?

@loveyouromania Ou du moins ce qui reste après les bombardements alliés ! La cathédrale a failli disparaître en 44. Merci les ricains !
