Super Monkey Ball 3D Gameplay - World 8

Here is the final world from Super Monkey Ball 3D! Welcome to outer space! This plays very well with the 3D effects as the lasers just pop right out of the screen making this much more exciting. Again, you have to take your time with this world because it is a little challenging and sort of maze-like. The bonus stage on here is a Pachinko machine. Apparently, the creators of Monkey Ball cannot step away from these levels, but this one is a little different. After I watched this one, I saw there was a lower ramp to enter and get the bananas up top. To get the item in this world though is really straight forward. Roll off the side and commit suicide. Restart the level with the item and beat it. I haven't noticed any awards or anything after beating world 8 and getting the items except for playing the exciting credits game with is the same thing from Super Monkey Ball on Gamecube.

As for the other special items in this game (I noticed 16 spots on the item screen), I think they are in the go kart game and the fighting games. The racing game was fine, but the fighting game really didn't spark my interest. I would have liked Monkey Bowling 2 and Monkey Billiards 2.

My overall rating for this game is 8/10. I would have liked 150 levels like in Super Monkey Ball 2, but, still a fun game to play! I really recommend getting this as one of your first games for Nintendo 3DS available March 27 in the United States!

so how does this game compare in difficulty with monkey ball 2 for example? is it worth my money?

@karmaloni in comparison with Super Monkey Ball 2 difficulty, this game is as easy as playing all 30 Standard levels with no Arthropod stage. It is way easy compared to Super Monkey Ball 2. I think it is easier than Super Monkey Ball Jr. for Gameboy Advance. I would put this as the easiest Monkey Ball game. But it is fun and definitely worth getting. There are also 2 other modes which I didn't upload. There is kart-racing which was fun, then like a Smash Brothers sort of fighting game.

The graphics and music are cool, but I think there's too many walls and maze-like stages. I agree, I really miss the ball-busting *pun* difficulty of SMB2. The pachinko level actually looked like a SMB2 bonus stage, though.

You have to beat everything with the motion sensor too, which is much harder.

Does anybody remember the hidden Braille message on Super Monkey Ball 2's Bumpy (Beginner 3 i think)? I wonder if anything like that going on with the red bump things littered throughout this game...

This game is great the difficulty is reasonable as trying to beat all of the stages with every banana isn't exactly easy and the motion sensor makes the game that bit harder, the challenge mode is where it's at though, the kart mode is okay and the fighting mode is very average and keeps you interested for about 15 minutes.
